A rare and magnificent English desk set made from gilded bronze in superb condition. The set consists of a pair of candlesticks, a pen tray, an inkwell, a seal and a letter opener.
 
All pieces feature cast cats or kittens playing with rugs and carpets. Dating to the late Victorian era, c.1890.
 
Each candlestick has a base diameter measuring 4 7/8'' x 7'' tall; the pen tray measures 9'' x 3 3/4'' x 2 1/2''; the letter opener measures 7 1/2'' x 1'' x 3/4''; the inkwell measures 4 3/4'' x 3 3/4'' x 2 3/4''; the seal measures 3 3/4'' x 3/4'' x 1''.
