Description

A lovely military camphor wood trunk dating from the mid to late 19th century. It has brass corner pieces, brass strapping and large brass carrying handles. The interior has a small candle box. It is very well made from solid camphor and has a lovely colour and patina.

It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. It is well travelled and many of the brass pieces are missing as well as the small ring handle on the front. There are signs of age and use, some small knocks, marks and small chips here and there but nothing detrimental. The box is clean and tidy inside, it has been cleaned and lightly polished and it displays beautifully.
