Georgian Edinburgh Mahogany Trotter Tea Table Circa 1805

Superb quality Scottish mahogany tea table in manner of Young and Trotter of Edinburgh. The demi-lune top with wide yew-wood banding and with shallow frieze. Raised on four curved uprights with carved patera to bottom onto shaped platform base with out curving quadriple legs with reeded decoration and terminating in brass socket casters. The interior most unusually veneered in curly bird's eye maple. The top swivels to be supported when open. All in superb un-touched original condition with no repairs or breaks. Lovely soft colour with great waxed patina. A very fine example of its kind.

Size; 30" high, 38" wide 19" deep.
