This is an early example of a Swiss mechanical crystal ball desk clock.
This beautiful clock possesses an 8-day mechanical movement manufactured in the early 1900's by an unknown Swiss manufacturer.
The quality of the movement is impeccable, typical to the clocks from that period.
The case of the clock is made out of brass, beautifully silvered, retaining the original patina.
The shape of the clock is designed to look like a magnifying sphere that gives the impression that all the mechanics inside are over dimensioned. Also, this effect allows the watcher to study the moving parts.
The dial is providing multiple functions for the reader: day, date, month, moon-phase, seconds dial and the classic time. All these functions can be adjusted by pressing the buttons, beautifully aligned on the circumference of the case.
