From the apex of decorate carpet weaving in 19th century North West Persia comes this highly artistic Fereghan carpet in full pile. A stunning jewel of a carpet that harks back to the classical period with the movement in the design of the floral vines and interconnecting flowerheads. There are echoes of the 16th century Vase technique in the drawing of the flowerheads and the colours are not only very unusual but beautifully coordinated. The orange red border has dashes of sky blue that seem to leap out from the rug, as if it was electrified. Stunning colours that would be normally found in a tribal weaving rather than a cottage industry piece like this. Absolutely fabulous and in stunning, original condition. This unique carpet will transform your room and the way you live!
