Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this stunning fully restored Victorian hand dyed cigar brown leather Chesterfield tufted club sofa with hand carved walnut Show Frame

This sofa is as rare as they come, it’s a period original Victorian which is rare in itself however it has the fully sprung frame, what that means is instead of just having springs in the base it has sprung arms and back rests as well, they were a lot more expensive to make. The sofa has what's called a "Show Frame" which means the frame has been ornately carved, this were often special commissions that were made by the cabinet maker to take to exhibitions to "Show" the quality of their craftsmanship

The leather has been fully restored to include being washed back, hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed, waxed down and polished, it is in lovely period antique order
