A fine Paris porcelain Empire period three footed chocolate cup with lion paw feet, beaded border around the base and an Imperial Eagle set into the ornate moulded handle. A large panel to one side is well painted with a floral arrangement set on a column. Ornate gilt decoration surrounds the rest of the cup, wide gilt band inside the rim and further to the handle and feet. Unmarked, c.1810. It measures 10.8cm (4 1/4'') high to the handle, 8.7cm (3 7/16'') to the rim and 9.8cm (3 13/16'') wide rim to rim (11.4cm (4 1/2'') including the handle).In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and very minor handling wear, just fractionally to the gilt on the feet.
