Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1800s.
Each vase with a stiff leaf and berry rim, over a concave neck, spreading into a scrolling acanthus collar, the rims and collars mounted with scrolling handles emerging from leaf brackets,and rising to flower head paterae. The ovoid marble bodies mounted iwth classical maidens in dance.
The vases standing on square marble plinths, mounted with classical floral swags, and finished with an encompassing mould edge, raised up on pine cone feet.
Date circa 1800.
