Fine 19th Century Boxed Silver Plated Communion Set

Description

A fine silver plated communion set in a fitted and lined box. The flagon is marked for Walker & Hall and dates to the late 19th Century. The other three pieces are of a different set, dating to the mid 19th Century and are an excellent match to the flagon. The set fits well within its dovetailed box with original felt bags.

The set is in very good condition, with slight surface wear around the edge of the communion platter. The interiors of the goblets and flagon are very clean.There is some wear to the box, including the interior and no key. The storage bags are worn.

Total weight approx 7kg

Platter - diameter approx 23cm

Flagon - Height approx 26cm. Span approx 19cm. Base diameter approx 13cm.

Goblet - height approx 19cm. Diameter at rim approx 9.5cm.

Box measures approx 36.5cm x 30cm. Height approx 33cm.
