As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this Japanese Meiji period ( 1869-1912) circa 1910, cloisonné enamel vase depicting narcissus flowers amidst Japanese red berry plants( probably Rubus Phoenicolasius )complete in its original silk lined tomobako, the exquisite floral detail picked out in fine silver wire upon a jade ground, the interior heavily counter enameled with the foot rim and top lip formed from silver and stamped with the jungin pure silver mark, the underside bears a full artist signature in silver script that translates to read ''made by Ando Jubei'', an exceptional quality example that would significantly enhance any serious Japanese cloisonné or works of art collection.

Direct to us from a private U.S.A collection for the last 20-30 years, and by repute formerly part of the Osaka museum collection.
