This is an antique duet music stool. An English, mahogany and leather recital bench or window seat, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1870.

Of wonderful appearance and versatile proportion

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

Select stocks presents fine grain interest and dark caramel hues

Traditionally stuffed cushion dressed in a tactile dark red leather

Cushion opens to reveal a useful storage compartment

Accentuated along each edge with press stud buttoning

Carved decorative motif to the frame situates a pair of turned stretcher rails

Gently splayed legs with fluted finish terminate in a set of brass castors
