Description

Henry Mountlow of London Lantern Clock

A lantern clock with alarm and striking trains. The dial, a shade under 6 ½” in diameter, surrounds a dial plate engraved with stylish Tulips and foliage, and signed Henricus Mountlow Londini Fecit.

For a lantern clock of this period, it is a very good clock, featuring the original verge escapement, original doors, original hand and bell strap, etc., all of which are things that are quite often changed on such clocks.

Henry Mowtlow of London – Apprenticed to Richard Browne in 1678 and freed in 1685.

Serviced and guaranteed for 3 years.
