Antique Early Metalware 18thc Iron Meat Fork With Barley Twist Decoration. Continental C1750-70.

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Mark Seabrook Antiques

A fine example of a mid 18thc wrought iron two pronged fork....this would have been used for toasting meat over the open down hearth fire....it is very nice quality and I particularly like the ''twist'' decoration to the centre of the handle....the way the end of the fork handle is curved over is typical of continental forks of this period and later....excellent colour and condition.

Continental / French. C1750-70.
