Georgian Oak Mule Chest

An impressive Georgian antique oak mule chest or blanket box. The antique mule chest has a hinged lid that opens to reveal a spacious interior. The Georgian mule chest has a three panel front with two small drawers to the base, each with decorative backplates and drop handles. Raised on block feet.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, stains, fading and dents to the top (pictured), also marks, scratches and shrinkage splits to the sides (pictured). The front has further marks, scratches and fading (pictured), also a patch repair above the left drawer (pictured). The antique oak mule chest remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Overall, a neat example of a Georgian mule chest.
