Mid 18th Century Mahogany Side Chair

Description

Mid 18th century mahogany side chair with a pierced vase shape vertical splat with carved leaf detail to the shoulders, the cresting rail shaped with scrolling ends, with fine carved detail in the rococo taste; with a loose seat covered in a later tapestry;  square moulded legs and stretchers.  Good colour and patination.  Circa 1750

21" (53.5cm) max wide, 16 1/4" (41cm) depth of seat and 39" (99cm) high

We deal in 18th and early 19th century furniture, barometers and clocks. We choose our stock for its originality and for the quality of its colour, patination and design.

We are members of the BADA. We do not exhibit at fairs preferring to deal from our Cambridge shop where we hold Open Weekends from time to time.
