Open Elbow Chair In The Manner Of Robert Mainwaring

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Chairman Antiques

In the manner of Robert Mainwaring, circa 1760, this Chinese fret work splatted open elbow chair is an eighteenth century delight. Manwaring''s characteristic back splat shows signs of historic country Estate repairs and the inset is covered in a very smart acid yellow cloth. It is of mahogany, very solid and most comfortable!
