Penderyn Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
To the base of the bureau bookcase is a fall front which opens to reveal a fitted interior. The interior is complete with a brown tooled leather writing surface, and an arrangement of eight pigeonholes with two small drawers. Raised on barley twist supports and bun feet. The antique bureau bookcase separates into two sections for ease of transport. A particularly pleasing example, with rich colour and lovely grain detail throughout. Complete with working lock and key.
