Mike Melody Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It measures 8cms l and comes complete with its key. We are lead to believe it dates around 1900 .it originates from austria where it was sold to market chocolates which were in it when first sold.
What a survivor!!!
The tinplate is playworn but the pictures tell its story.
