Description

A beautiful Japanese silver “candy” box.

Marked to base “pure silver” which possibly means 99.9%

Pretty engraving to the lift off top featuring a 5 pointed star with flowers and ribbons.

Two small pull handles (purely for decoration) on the sides, fashioned as chrysanthemums.

Sits on 4 small feet on the corners.

Meiji period ran from 1868-1912.
