Corvidae Antique has dated this piece to the 1880s.

The back of the locket is fully hallmarked for Birmingham sterling silver 1881, and bears the maker's mark HB.
The locket contains acetates and silk in both sides, ready to insert your own pictures or tiny treasures.

Both pieces are in excellent antique condition. We have not overpolished the locket, to preserve its patina, but it could be further cleaned if you prefer a shinier look. The hinge and clasp are in perfect condition; the locket opens easily with a thumbnail and clicks shut securely with a satisfying snap.
Chain length: Just under 23 inches.
Locket size: Approximately 3.5 x 4.5cm. The total drop from the top of the bail is 6cm.
Total weight: 42.4g.
