A fabulous large and very rare Minton porcelain figure of ''Persia'' c.1848. Superb modelling and decoration as always with Minton, an Eastern lady finely dressed in exotic robes and jewels standing beside marble column over which she has draped her cloak and rests a water vase. Rich enamels and gilding and some very delicate porcelain lacework along the hem of her dress and as a necklace and earrings. Model number 144 in the Minton pattern book. No other damage, repair or restoration to the figure itself. The delicate lacework always has some damage understandably but a very high proportion remains.
