A highly decorative Chinese Cinnabar Lacquer vase dating from the late Qing period c 1900. The intricately carved red lacquer revealing a background of yellow lacquer, finely carved with Peonies amongst a Lotus flower frame. Blue enamel interior and base.
The ovoid shape vase with narrow tapered neck is in excellent condition. it is very unusual to find bi colored lacqer of this type with a Yellow ground.
8 inches tall x 4 inches diameter.
