Here are a pair of oil paintings on board in their original heavy gilt frames entitled ''The Rivals'', English mid 19th Century.
One painting depicts two hounds breaking the cover in woodland, with a rider in scarlet coat in the trees behind, the other a group of foxes, reclining in the ferns and foxgloves by their den after a hearty dinner.
The paintings measure 32cm by 27cm each (framed) and have both been professionally cleaned, and had their frames restored.
The paintings are unsigned, with the exception of their title ''The Rivals'' applied to the picture of the hounds.
