Digby Antiques (Wiltshire) has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
Super quality and condition.
Could also be the owners initials. Various articles do refer to Christopher Pinchbeck Junior as being a buckle maker, his dates are 1710-1783 and if these are indeed by him they will date to circa 1780.
The box would appear to have been made later but is in good overall condition and the buckles fit well.
