Here is a large and imposing watercolour - ‘Trawlers off Spithead’ by William Henry Pearson, inscribed, signed and dated 1909, and presented in its original gilt frame.The picture measures 89cm by 43cm framed with the image measuring 71cm by x 25cm, and depicts four fishing smacks out at sea off the coast of Spithead in the Solent.
