An attractive and good quality French Napoleon III kingwood ,mahogany and marquetry inlaid commode. The whole of shallow breakfront form and having a rouge variegated marble top. Below are 3 oak lined frieze drawers with inset ormolu mounts and working locks with keys. The 2 deep drawers centred with a floral marquetry basket of flowers inlaid with various exotic woods. Flanked by further marquetry inlay with musical instruments, flowers, tied ribbons and retaining the original ring pull handles. The canted corners with ormolu mounts and joining, parquetry inlaid sides and raised on short cabriole legs with ormolu sabots. Condition- very good and original with no damage.
