Description

This beautiful solid silver and mother of pearl letter opener or paper knife was made by the renowned Scottish makers Brook & Son and is dated Edinburgh 1894. The carved mother of pearl handle mounted with a decorative ferrule and a fully hallmarked silver blade. It is a lovely example and combines elegance with practicality. Comes in a smart Morroco leather presentation case lined with satin and velvet..

B&S for Brook &son

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion passant.

Date letter "n" for 1894.

Dimensions:

Length: 20.5cm / 8.2 inches.

Condition:

Silver in very good condition.
