Victorian 2.30 Carat Natural Ruby Three Stone Ring, Circa 1880

Description

A special Victorian ruby ring. The trio of perfectly matched rubies – certified as natural, unheated and of Thai origin – display a rich, wine coloured hue. Each of the stones is rubover set in 15k yellow gold, with small but bright old cut diamonds nestled between each ruby. The ring sits nice and low to the finger on a slender 15k yellow gold shank. Exceptional.

Accompanied by a report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the rubies show no indication of heating, and originate from Thailand.

Cut – Cushion cut rubies and old mine cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are G to H.

Clarity – The rubies are eye clean. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.

Carat – The total approximate ruby weight is 2.30 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.14

Circa – 1880.

Size – I (i) (UK) or 4.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – From the edge of one outer ruby to the other is 16.8mm. The ring is 9.6mm at the widest point and sits 3.5mm from the finger.

Metal – 15k gold. Tested.
