Description

Without doubt one of the finest victorian mahogany collectors cabinets I have come across for many years! Circa 1870.

This cabinet can only be described as of the very utmost quality. Every aspect of the cabinet is excellent and the quality of craftsmanship is second to none.

The cabinet is fashioned in finely figured honduras mahogany and is very original. All original glass, lock and key etc.

15 solid mahogany drawers, all running like silk on hidden bearer runners, universal cells to all drawers and closely fitting glazed frames to drawer tops. The drawers carry the original papering and are base lined with a layer of cork. Re-ling is one of our specialities, please ask. This cabinet originally held a collection of british butterflies but would lend itself to a multitude of other collecting pursuits.

I commend this cabinet absolutely and it would be one I would normally keep for my own collection.
