This regal and substantial Victorian brooch is set with a large purple paste amethyst complemented by a rich and intricate golden surround (not solid gold). It would also make a lovely pendant if suspended from a chain under the pin hinge.

The piece is in very good antique condition with normal surface wear for an item of this age, see photos.
