A rare solid silver, unusual Match Holder / Striker. In the form of a circular tray with wavy edges and central holder in which to stand the matches with striking area around the circumference. Hallmarks are visible for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1910, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker''s mark for the silversmith: Joseph Goster Limited.
