Antique Inlaid Wooden Book Box

19th century
Description

A lovely mahogany box dating from the late 19th Century. It is in the shape of a faux book with a curved spine making it a great secret box. It is beautifully inlaid with shell and fan motifs and it comes with its original working key.The interior is clean and tidy and has its original padded velvet base.

It is in good solid order with no major damages. The box has been polished and has a lovely colour and patina. There are some general signs of age and use, some small knocks and minor marks but nothing detrimental.
