Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The arched top rail is carved and decorated with stringing. With curved arms and standing on tapering legs terminating in spade feet. The fabric is in good condition (a few small marks to fabric) however the webbing underneath has sagged somewhat. This is quite a low chair so would make an ideal dressing table chair or bedroom or nursing chair.
