The brass handled pans are remarkably scarce
C1680 or earlier this is a rare survivor in its remarkable condition. No holes or damage.
Often referred to as "dutch" see r.gentle book on domestic brass.
These were used to warm the 17thc 4 poster beds of the day by holding hot coals inside them.
Hence "rare survivor"
It measures 100cms long 35cms wide and 12cms deep.
