Description

Is there anyone who could not be impressed by this inlaid mahogany desk from around1900. In lovely clean condition with a top just re French polished in our workshops and the remainder cleaned and rewaxed, so all looks great. The tooled leather is in black so no conflict issues with decor. The handles are all original and very good quality and there is an inlaid gallery at the back with impressive detailing on the finials at each end. The kneehole is a good workable size at 61 cms high. The top is 79cms high with an extra 12 cms for the gallery.

We have an inlaid chair that sits with this desk very well as it has the splay in the leg as does the desk on the pretty little splay brackets on the bottom of the pedestals. All the inlays are in place and the drawers are clean inside and out. A very keen price for all this quality too.
