Georgian Figured Mahogany Chest of Drawers

18th century
Description

An extremely fine quality George III chest of drawers with figured Honduras mahogany top, sides and drawer fronts with crossbanding to the front and fine astragal moulding standing on shaped out swept bracket feet.

The chest has five graduating drawers each with original brass gilt swan neck handles and beaded detail back plates finished with inset brass key escutcheons and cockbeading to the edges. All the drawers are oak and pine lined and retain their original locks and come with a working key.

Width - 44 ½ inches

Depth - 21 ½ inches

Circa - 1790 - 1800
