This highly desirable very long Victorian guard chain has lovely tactile rounded links. The necklace is a closed loop formed of solid nine-carat gold with a round joining link which could be used to suspend a traditional dog clip or other pendant.

The necklace is in excellent antique condition.

Stamped 9C on a plaque next to the joining loop.
