Hagemans was born in 1852 in Liège - died in 1917 in Ixelles. He was Belgian impressionist painter and watercolorist. He exhibited for the first time in Brussels in 1875. From 1887, Maurice Hagemans became a member of the Société des Aquarellistes Belges. He was the co-founder a year earlier of L'Art Indépendant.
Works at the Museums of Namur, Ostend, Brussels, Antwerp, Liège and the Royal Museum of Beaux Arts in Belgium. He is well catalogued at auction.
