Dating to around 1900, this is a really super and highly sought-after wooden chess set, I believe based on the French Regency or Regence design turned and carved in Boxwood & Ebony.

The complete set remains in really excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age and comes with it's Mahogany storage box. The king measuring 3 1/2" tall or 9.5cms.
