Edwardian Silver Mounted Match Striker Birmingham 1902

Description

An Edwardian silver mounted and cut lead crystal match striker with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1902 and clear makers initials B&S. There are several Birmingham makers with these initials but date wise the most likely is Bracher & Sydenham. The weighty base is made of deeply cut lead crystal in an alternating step cut panel (for striking the matches) and a diamond cut panel (for decoration). The silver rim sits above a further slice cut band. The match well is deep and clean. A weighty charming piece in excellent condition.
