A rare and original tiered occasional table by H Ogden & Son of Manchester. Wonderful tapestry work to the top and shelf with decorative beaded fringe to the edge, the walnut and ebony frame in aesthetic taste with crisp reeded and ring turned supports, tapering splayed legs terminating in brass and ceramic casters. Stamped to the underneath ''H. OGDEN MANCHESTER'' Serial No. 7743''
Henry Ogden & Son were cabinet makers and upholsterers in Manchester, 128 Deansgate Manchester from 1862-1882. They were silver medal winners at the Paris Exhibition 1878, they also manufacted numerous peices of Art furniture for various top designers.
