Description

A very pretty antique nine-carat gold ring showcasing a carved cameo of a draped classical figure in an orange hardstone, likely sardonyx.

The carved plaque is mounted into a richly coloured gold mount within a halo of tiny gleaming seed pearls, with a decorative pierced gallery set on a split-shouldered reeded shank.

The ring is in very good antique condition, with just a few very tiny fleabites to the orange stone when seen under the magnification of a strong loupe.

Size: H (UK), approx 3.75 (US).

The cameo measures approximately 1 x 2cm and the face of the ring around 1.5 x 2.5cm.
