Fully Restored Omega Jumbo Bumper Automatic 1949

1920 - 1940
Description

Details about this watch

This is a fabulous fully restored example of a vintage mens watch made by the premium Swiss make Omega.

This is the early and rare Omega jumbo bumper automatic

The watch has the calibre 351 automatic bumper movement and the serial number dates this accurately to 1949,

An Omega "bumper" is a vintage Omega that has a "bumper" automatic movement rather than a full rotation rotor automatic. The oscillating weight makes a partial rotation before "bumping" into a cushioning spring, this was Omegas first automatic movement.

The movement has just been serviced and the two tone dial professionally restored to new condition.

A new glass has been fitted

The Omega symbol is on the winding crown, it has an Omega buckle and it is fully marked Omega on the dial, movement and case as you would expect.

The watch case measures 37.5mm in diameter not including the crown, very big for the period.

We can offer a choice of straps, we keep most colours and styles in stock.

Omega are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class.

Overall this watch is in outstanding condition and highly sought after by Omega collectors.

The watch has been fully serviced and is guaranteed to be a genuine Omega in all respects. It has been professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
