Description

A fine French inlaid rosewood ETUI (sewing kit), of tapered form with inlaid boxwood flowers and leaves to the outer face. The lid is hinged and opens at the press of a button, the interior contains five embossed white metal tools, all housed in their own recessed spaces.

Foreign Silver marks indecipherable.

Dated: c.1860-1880.

Dimensions:  Length: 5 inches. Width: 3 inches (max). Depth: 1 inch. (12.7 x 7.6 x 2.5 cm)
