An 18th Century Elizabeth Oldfield Silver Tablespoon

Description

A sought after 18th Century silver table spoon, by a female silversmith. This lovely example is in Hanoverian Pattern with the original pricked initials D over E+C to the reverse of the shank. This reveals that the spoon was a marriage spoon, with the D being the initial for the Surname and E for the husband and C for the wife. The spoons also has the additional benefit of being made by a mid 18th Century female silversmith, Elizabeth Oldfield. A good collector's item, still usable today. Dimensions below.
