Superb Georgian Silver Vinaigrette by Thomas Parker, Birmingham 1825

Description

This exquisite George IV silver vinaigrette is dated Birmingham 1825 and bears the marks of Thomas Parker. The engine-turned cover with vacant cartouche and raised foliate border. Opens to reveal an intricate pierced grille and rich gilt interior. The back with engine-turned decorations and the sides with reeded decorations.

Hallmarks:-

T.P for Thomas Parker.

Date letter 'B' for 1825.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion Passant.

Duty mark.

Condition:

Very good.

Good hinge on both vinaigrette and grille.

Good clear hallmarks marks.

Dimensions:

3.5 cm x 2.5 cm x 1 cm.
