Description

A classic 'Herati' design Persian carpet, a real staple of the British country house from the late 19th century. This is an unusual one for having the broad, golden yellow border and the two flanking guard borders of mint green, makes a big difference to the temperature of the carpet. Very much warmer. The Herati design is superb for decorating with as it harbours so many accents of different colours you can easily find something to work with sofas, curtains and other soft furnishings. In good condition but showing light wear at both ends. Ready for another 140 odd years !
