Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the late nineteenth century, Royal Worcester produced a range of decorative figures inspired by classical mythology and pastoral themes. Prominent modellers, such as James Hadley, crafted intricate designs that captured dynamic human and mythological forms, often finished in soft matte glazes and delicate gilding.

These figures were cast from soft-paste or bone china porcelain using multi-part plaster moulds. After the initial firing, craftsmen applied tinted glazes, polychrome enamel painting, and liquid gold accents before firing the piece again to fix the decoration.

Authentic pieces feature standard printed Royal Worcester factory marks on the underside, typically accompanied by shape or pattern numbers, model numbers, and date letters or dots indicating the exact year of manufacture.

Display the figurine alongside vintage books on a bookshelf, within a glazed curiosity cabinet, or atop a console table paired with contemporary art to create an eclectic, layered aesthetic.

Dust regularly using a soft, dry microfibre cloth or a fine soft-bristled brush around detailed areas. Avoid immersion in water, harsh detergents, or abrasive materials, as these can erode gilded highlights and cold-painted enamels.
