A Rare 19thc Solid Yew Wood Butlers Wine Tray Stand.

Description

A superb early 19th century solid yew wood butler,s wine tray stand.

We are dating as around 1800 .

Wonderful colour and condition

Totally original.

It has 2 small wood cracks near the handle. These are flaws in the solid wood and perfectly stable.

I tiny piece of veneer on the edge has been replaced. See pictures

We believe these were used by the butlers of the period to serve wine from the bottle with the covered part for glasses.

On castors for easy movement.

It measures 52cms h 68cms long and 25cms w

A wonderful and rare antique proving there were wine buffs in the georgian period

As always offered at our realistic price.
