Victorian Silver Toast Rack (6 Slice) 1894

This superb VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER TOAST RACK has six compartments divided by an arched style frame supporting a central handle. The Silver Toast Rack, made by the well-known silversmiths of Atkin Bros and assayed in Sheffield in 1894, has a rectangular shaped body / base. The toast rack has seven delightfully shaped dividers resulting in six toast sections and the central divider has a shaped handle on the top.

This lovely Silver Toast Rack has not been engraved with any family crests or initials and one end has a full set of clearly defined hallmarks as described below.

This is made from good heavy gauge silver, is of fine quality and is in exceptional condition and could be used as intended as a toast rack or as a superb desk top letter rack or would make a wonderful addition to any collection and would enhance any table setting.
